Stages

Below is a list of stages returned by the terminal during a transaction, along with their meaning and description:

2CARD HANDLEThe terminal displays the “Present the card” screen. Customer interaction needed.
3PIN HANDLEThe terminal displays the “Enter PIN” screen. Customer interaction needed.
4PROCESSING DATAApplicable only for “Slave” mode. The terminal uses the caller's connectivity to transport specific data to the HOST and receives a response. This stage can be repeated as many times as needed. The terminal will display relevant screens during the process depending on the executed call. No customer interaction needed.
5PROCESSING OUTCOMEAfter successful communication with the HOST, the terminal returns the response in this stage.
