Technology Details

Our protocol provides a standard way of communication between myPOS devices and custom point-of-sale systems via Bluetooth, USB or RS232 interfaces. To make it easier, we wrapped up our API and prepared a couple of SDKs and dedicated reference guides.

Requirements

Before you start, please make sure that the following requirements have been met:

  • For development purposes you should order a device in DEMO environment.
  • The POS device is set in "Cash Register Mode".
  • Check if your master device and the POS have compatible connectivity options (USB/Bluetooth/RS232).
  • If you will be using the raw IPP protocol, please contact your sales representative to sign an NDA in order to receive the complete documentation.

Integrated Payments Protocol (IPP)

The IPP specification describes how to integrate the myPOS payments flow and use our card readers in a POS built around your business. It is not published here.

Contact integrations@mypos.com to request it. An NDA is required before we can share the complete documentation.
