App Review Process

Every app submitted to the myPOS AppMarket—whether a new app or an update—is reviewed to ensure it meets our quality, compliance, and security standards.

App Status: Pending

After successful submission, your app will be set to Pending status.

  • In this state, you can still edit the app's metadata (description, images, countries, etc.).
  • Once the review begins, no changes are allowed until a new version is submitted.

First-Time APK Submissions

When submitting your app for the first time, the following app-level metadata is validated:

Required App Information & Assets:

  • App Name
  • App Description
  • App Screenshots
  • Target Countries
  • Requested Permissions (only essential implicit permissions should be included)
  • Website (if applicable)
  • Privacy Policy URL

Subsequent APK Submissions

For all app updates, the following elements are checked:

  • Changes to app information and assets
  • Changelog of modifications since the previous version

Two-Layer Review Process

App review consists of two phases:

1. Automated Verification

  • Validates APK structure, file size, and manifest configuration
  • Ensures compliance with APK build guidelines

If any criteria fail, you won’t be able to submit the app for manual review

2. Manual Review

Once automated checks pass, a myPOS AppMarket administrator performs a hands-on review:

You must provide test credentials (if your app requires authentication)

Manual Review Covers:

  • Security Check – ensures no malicious code
  • Stability Test – detects app crashes or ANRs
  • Performance Review – checks resource usage and responsiveness
  • Functionality Test – validates advertised features
  • User Experience – assesses layout, usability, and design
  • Interoperability Test – confirms device compatibility
  • Integration Test – ensures proper usage of myPOS terminal functions

If the app passes, it is:

  1. Signed using a PCI Certification Key by a myPOS reviewer
  2. Re-tested in a production environment

In rare cases, APK signing may cause compression issues. If this happens, you may be asked to rebuild and re-submit your APK.

Review Timeline

You will receive an initial response within 1–3 business days after submission.

Review Outcomes

You may receive one of the following:

  • APK Approval – App is set to Online status
  • APK Rejection – Does not meet guidelines
  • Request for Additional Info – e.g. credentials, screenshots, video demos, or clarifications

Publishing

Once approved:

  • The app goes Online in the myPOS AppMarket
  • It becomes available for all compatible production devices
