Distribute Your App via myPOS AppMarket
After building and testing your business application, the final step is to submit it to the myPOS AppMarket for review and publication. Once approved, your app will be made publicly available for myPOS Smart device users to download and install.
App Distribution Process
- Register for a myPOS Developer AppMarket account
- Build and prepare your APK following myPOS packaging guidelines
- Submit your app for review
- Upon approval, it is signed and published for distribution to production devices
All approved apps are signed by myPOS with a PCI Certification Key to ensure secure installation on merchant devices.
App Submission Requirements
To submit your app:
- You must have an approved Developer Account with myPOS.
- Contact the myPOS team with:
- Developer/company details
- App description
- Testing credentials (if login is required)
If you need assistance during submission, the myPOS team is available to help.
App Review Process
App review is a two-phase process:
1. Automated Review
- Conducted upon submission via form
- Validates APK structure, size, and compliance
- Blocks apps that don't meet required build standards
If the automated review fails, the app cannot proceed to manual review.
2. Manual Review Once automated validation passes, the app is manually reviewed by the myPOS AppMarket team:
Manual Tests May Include:
- Security Test – checks for malicious code
- Stability Test – ensures app doesn't crash
- Performance Test – verifies that the app doesn’t slow down the terminal
- Functional Test – validates documented features
- Quality Check – assesses UX and UI polish
- Interoperability Test – checks compatibility with target myPOS Smart devices
- Integration Test – ensures proper usage of Smart SDK & terminal functions
You must provide test credentials (if your app requires login) to support the manual review process.
Signing & Publishing
Once your app passes all tests:
- It is signed by myPOS with the official PCI Certification Key
- Re-tested in the production environment
In rare cases, the signing process might introduce compression errors. If so, you may be asked to rebuild and validate your app.
App Availability
Once approved and signed:
- Your app is marked as "Online" in the AppMarket
- It becomes available to all production myPOS Smart devices
- Merchants can discover and install your app like any other from the AppMarket
Tip: Make sure to monitor feedback and crash reports after launch to iterate and improve your app continuously.
