myPOS Plugin for OpenCart

Want to accept secure card payments in your OpenCart store? Follow this simple guide to install and set up the myPOS Checkout plugin.

1. Download the Plugin

  • Get the latest version of the myPOS Checkout plugin from OpenCart.com.

  • Make sure your OpenCart version is supported:

    • 3.x: 3.0.0.0, 3.0.1.1, 3.0.1.2, 3.0.2.0, 3.1.0.0 (alpha), 3.0.3.8
    • 2.x: 2.3.0.2, 2.2.0.0, 2.1.0.2, 2.1.0.1, 2.0.3.1, 2.0.2.0, 2.0.1.1, 2.0.1.0
    • 1.5.x: 1.5.6, 1.5.6.1, 1.5.6.2, 1.5.6.3, 1.5.6.4

2. Install the Plugin

  1. Download the plugin to your computer.

  2. Upload the plugin files to your OpenCart installation folder using FTP.

  3. Log in to your OpenCart Admin Dashboard.

  4. Go to Extensions > Payments.

    Payment Extensions
  5. Find myPOS Checkout in the list and click Install.

Done! The myPOS Checkout plugin is now installed.

3. Configure the Plugin

Before you start, make sure you have created your checkout in your myPOS account.

Access the Plugin Settings

  1. Log in to your OpenCart Admin Dashboard.
  2. Go to:
    Extensions > Payments > myPOS Checkout > Edit

Quick Setup (Recommended)

  1. In your myPOS account, generate a Configuration Pack.
  2. Copy the generated string.
  3. Paste it into the Configuration Pack field in the plugin settings.
  4. Click Save. Your checkout is ready for live payments!

If you prefer, you can enter your details manually:

  • Store ID – Provided in your myPOS account
  • Client Number (Wallet Number)
  • Private Key – Your developer RSA private key

No spaces or new lines before/after the “-----” in the key.

  • Public Certificate – myPOS certificate
  • Key Index – Found in your myPOS account

Click Save changes when done.

4. Enable Test Mode (Optional)

  • Use Test Mode to simulate payments without charging your card.
  • When enabled, all transactions are processed as successful (no real funds are moved).
  • You can use any card number to test.

When Test Mode is on, the system uses Developer mode settings.

5. Enable Logging (Optional)

  • Turn on logging to keep track of payment activity.
  • This helps with debugging and monitoring.

6. Payment Method Options

You can offer:

  • Card payments only
  • iDEAL only (for Dutch customers)
  • Both

Customers will see a simple, secure checkout screen based on their choice.

How iDEAL Works:
Customers select their bank and are redirected to their bank’s online portal to complete payment.

7. Let Customers Know You Accept Card Payments

Download and display our card scheme logos on your product pages, footer, or anywhere you like.
