1. Activation of the myPOS plugin in Joomla
To activate the plugin go to System -> Manage -> Extensions
Then click on the checkbox of the myPOS plugin and activate it by pressing the Enable button.
2. Set up the myPOS Payment method in your VirtueMart shop
To activate the myPOS Plugin in your VirtueMart shop, first, you need to upload the plugin zip file from the menu Components -> VirtueMart -> Payment Methods
Then press the New button to add a new payment method.
First, you need to fill in the fields related to the payment method information:
- Payment name - type the name of the method as you want it to be shown on the order page in the shop.
- Sef Alias - type the name of the Plugin with Latin letters.
- Published - select Yes to show the payment method or No to hide the method.
- Payment Description - optional field - type in a brief description of the method which will be shown to the clients.
- Payment method - select myPOS from the drop menu
- Shopper group - available to all clients or only for a specific group
- List order - type in the position of the payment method on the order page. If you want myPOS to be seen first, type in 1 in the field.
- Currency - select the currency in which you will process payments.
When you are ready press the Save button to continue to the Configuration settings. You should see a Payment Method successfully saved message. You can now access the Configuration tab of the plugin and set it up to accept payments via myPOS.
The plugin supports two working environments depending on the Test mode parameter setting:
- Test mode (Test mode enabled) for testing purposes to check how the plugin works and without processing real payments
- Production mode (Test mode disabled) - in this mode you process real payments.
For Test Mode, you will need to copy the provided Configuration pack below and paste it in the respectively named field under Test Mode. The configuration pack provides all mandatory settings for the integration. You can use it quickly and easily by taking the provided BASE64 Encoded String below.

For Production mode, you will need to generate a configuration pack from your myPOS account. Check the Store Management section for more information on Checkout creation and configuration in your myPOS account.
When you have generated your configuration pack for your Checkout store, you should paste it in the Configuration pack field under Production Options:

Once myPOS Checkout is configured your customers will be able to choose it as a payment method and pay for your goods and services easily and securely using a Debit/Credit card.
If the myPOS Payment method is selected your customers will be redirected to Card payment, they will see a checkout where they can enter card details.
